2015 - God has Saved the BEST till NOW

John 2:10
“…you have saved the best till now.”

As I was praying about our new year, God really spoke to me through the story of the wedding that took place in Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed his first miracle.

The wedding ceremonies of that day were quite different than our culture.  They lasted for many days and running out of wine would have been extremely embarrassing.

Jesus’ mother told Jesus they ran out of wine.  You can read all the details of this story in John 2.

Jesus after a discussion with his mom, told the servants to fill their water jars with water and then draw some out to serve the master of the banquet.  The water at that moment turned into wine.

The master of the banquet called the bridegroom over and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”  (John 2:10)

Last week when I read the words, “saved the best till now,” it was as if lights were flashing all around me.  I knew 2015 was going to be our best year yet.  Faith filled my heart, and I know that I know that I know it’s going to happen.

I still believe there will be challenges ahead.  The miracle at this wedding would not have occurred if the wedding party had not run out of wine.    I remember years ago hearing a song by Andrae Crouch called “Through it All,” which said, “If I never had a problem, I wouldn’t know that He (God) could solve them.”

We’ve already started the year off with challenges, but we know beyond any doubt that God is going to perform miracles for us too.
When we went to church this past Sunday, our pastor began a series called “Miracles.”  John 2 was his text.  (Thank you, Lord, for confirmation.)  Pastor Brad gave several points I will print below to show you what to do when challenges do arise:

·               Invite Jesus into your circumstances.   Jesus was asked by his mom to take charge of this situation and do something about it.

·               Do whatever he tells you to do.  The servants had to be willing to do some crazy things.   What God tells you to do doesn’t always make sense.  Just obey.

·               Expect the supernatural.  God still is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He wants to move in your situation.

·               His glory will be revealed.  Rejoice in the Lord for His faithfulness.

You can hear Pastor Brad’s message at our church website, (Chandler campus).  I would highly recommend it.

As the year unfolds, when challenges arise, remember the troubles you face are not to defeat you but to bring you miracles.

Invite God into your situation.  Listen to His instruction and follow through with what He tells you to do.  The results will be amazing.
